Gobble Gobble

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!  We'll be spending it with SO's family.  This will be our first Thanksgiving together, and my first Thanksgiving away from my family.  Should be interesting!  :)

I made Carrot Cake cupcakes this morning, from scratch.  They're in the oven...starting to smell good.  Little tip...if you're going to be grating carrots (or anything really) do it BEFORE you get a manicure...or wear some protective hand gear...or just be really careful.  Luckily I didn't trash my nails, but I had a few close calls!

Yeeesh.

Daddy left for an overnight job this morning.  It's been raining all day.  The littles are all tired (waking up at 6 freakin' am will do that to ya).  Ugh.  It's been an interesting day to say the least!  It's almost dinner time.  Hopefully that's part of the problem and they'll settle down nicely after they eat.

yaright.

Full House!

The little kids arrived yesterday.  They'll be here for a week.  This morning the two little ones woke up at 5 am!!  It may have been even earlier.  All I know is, it was still dark out...and not even starting to get light.  :|  Way too early for this mama.  Their daddy is an early bird too though...so he got up with them and I got to sleep in until almost 9.  :D  Of course, that meant that I missed out on the blueberry muffins he made.  The little goblins ate them all up.

Now daddy's at work and they're all playing nicely in their room.  After lunch I plan to take them all outside and let them wear themselves out...then quiet time!  Hopefully daddy will be home soon after that.  Some of our friends are coming in from Birmingham tonight, so we're going out to dinner...I'm crossing my fingers for This Is It!  Mmmmmm....

Lunch time...better run!
