New Goodies {Sneak Peek}

The other night I got a sneak peek of some of the new artwork that will be released on August 12th.  There's some super cute stuff coming!  Plus, even more basic (free!) artwork!  Very exciting. :)  Here are a couple screen shots I was able to get from the webinar.  I hope I don't get in trouble for sharing!  ;)

Here is a clip of some holiday artwork.  Looks like we have some Christmas, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving...hmmm...what might that castle and crown be??

Here's a little snippit of a template using the holiday collection shown above.  I'm thinking we might have some gift tags here, but I'm not sure!  What do you think?

Here's some lovely Euro-style artwork.  We'll also be getting this cute little things called "clusters".  The artwork is already clustered together.  All you have to do is drag and drop to your project and then drag and drop your photos in!  You could have a complete project (think canvases!) in 3 steps!  Can you imagine!

Here's a clip of a project template using the clusters and Euro-style art.  So sweet!  I wonder what it could be?

Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and I didn't get a screen cap of the last set.  I did see some cute little fairies though!!  :)  Here's a snip of a template using the fairy theme.  Love it!

This is only a small sample of what will be revealed August 12th at Reunion.  There will be 31 new collections and over 1,000 individual pieces added!  As far as I know, this is the most that's ever been added at one time!

In honor of all this new stuff, I want to offer my readers a special incentive.  I'm offering 2 hours of FREE design time on ALL orders placed before August 12th.  This includes Christmas in July purchases as well!  Your two hours can be used anytime before your credits expire.  This would be a fabulous way to get your Christmas cards done!  Buy them now at a great price and let me design them for you!  It doesn't get much easier than that!  Email me asap to place your order!

Sarah

Take fabulous photos this summer!

I don't know about you, but summer is my favorite season of all!  I love all the colors, the sunshine, the food, the water!  Here are some quick and easy photography tips that will help you capture all the details that make summer so wonderful!

Read the manual
Figure out what all those fancy settings are for, and when to use them!  You'd be surprised by what a difference they can really make.  I know I was!

Use natural light to your advantage
The best time of day to take photos is early morning or later afternoon, known by photographers as the "golden hour". This is true whether you’re photographing people or scenery.  Taking photos during the "golden hour" you help you avoid the harsh glare of the sun directly above.  Plus, there will be less squinting!  Taking photos with the sun behind you (the photographer) will make skin tones appear warm and the colors in the photo will be saturated, giving the photos a soft, glowy look.  Taking photos with the sun behind the subject will provide some really neat silhouette effects.

Keep it candid
Candid photos capture the fun, carefree spirit of summer much more so than posed photos.  Keep your camera on so you're always ready to snap a photo, and take several pictures in a row.  Even professional photographers take a ton of photos just to get a few really great shots!

Don't delete until you get home
Sometimes a photo can look bad on the small screen of your camera, but once you get it home and see it on a larger scale, it could be the perfect shot!

Don't run out
Be sure to keep extra batteries and memory cards on hand so you don't run out of juice!

Stay organized
Make sure your photos and memories don't get lost in the digital shuffle.  Upload them to www.frommemoriestokeepsakes.com when you get home.  Use albums and folders to keep them organized.  You can also add notes to the photos so you don't forget what was going on at the time.  You can even share your photos with family and friends!

Storybook 'em!
Get those photos into a storybook a.s.a.p.!  Check out our Summer Survival Sale for great packages deals!

Happy snapping (and scrapping)!
